How did you arrive at the current TP Index value?

This "no-big-deal storm"... Looks to be changing to a "annoying mess!" We've gone from 1-2" and a Winter Weather Advisory to 3-6" and a Winter Storm Warning! And since it's kinda warm-ish... its not going to be 3-6" of light and fluffiness.

Who is over winter? Anyone? A show of hands?

On the other hand... the Super Bowl Weekend storm... well it could be fun... still too early to call at this point.

As a result of this mid-week storm, the BEER INDEX will be 6... which, honestly is a good baseline for any average day, whether sunny and 80 or 20 and snowy! :)

What the heck is this?

The TPIndex is the number of toilet paper rolls you need in addition to your current supply in order to insure you'll have enough to meet your needs during the upcoming winter weather.

Where is the TPIndex valid?

The TPIndex is valid for the Central Maryland region, including Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery and Washington Counties. It can also be a useful indicator for the greater Baltimore and Washington DC regions, but may not be as accurate as winter weather forecasts can vary wildly in this area.
